The Scalvinger Hunt is an annual one-day scavenger hunt held each September in honor of Alvin’s birthday. The theme changes every year, based on whatever niche obsession Alvin has at the moment. Past versions have included everything from foam swords to secret maps to performance challenges on the streets of Capitol Hill.

Tasks range from the silly to the strategic. You might find yourself building something, solving a puzzle, chasing down a clue, or filming a dance. You’ll move through the neighborhood, interact with strangers, and rely on your teammates. You’ll use your brain, your body, and maybe your nerve.

This year’s theme is Severance. You’ll be assigned a department. You’ll do your job. Try to enjoy all facts equally.
